This is the Democrats’ election to lose.

Commentators and Hillary’s ‘real people’ are starting to recognise Obama’s successes: the US economic recovery has been faster than any other country in the world – far better than Europe’s. There are even positive mutterings about Obamacare.

So the last thing the Democrats need is to spend the next 18 months fending off allegations about dodgy finances and emails. We should be talking about the issues relevant in this election.
