Paris supermarket terrorist was wearing GoPro, recorded part of attack

The gunman who attacked a Kosher grocery store in Paris in the days following a massacre at the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo filmed part of the assault, U.S. officials said Friday. Amedy Coulibaly, who killed four hostages during the Jan. 9 siege, was wearing a GoPro camera during the attack, CNN first reported, and U.S. officials confirmed to NBC News. The official did not know the status of the footage.

French newspaper Le Monde reported after the attack that Coulibaly’s camera was found, and he was seen by a hostage putting the camera’s memory card into a computer. Coulibaly was killed in a police raid on the supermarket after demanding the safe release of brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi, who were surrounded by police in a simultaneous raid at a printing facility. The brothers, who had carried out the Cherlie Hebdo attack, that left 12 dead, were also killed that day.
