Who'll protest on behalf of the two murdered cops in New York?

You know whose lives are so often in danger? Cops’ lives are in danger as they try to keep the city safe, and that means all the city, not just its most dangerous neighborhoods. Are all of them heroes? Certainly are not. Are most of them heroes? What do you think?

But what do all those who march against all police because they don’t like the actions of a few think about the police today? Officer Peter Figoski at least knew there was trouble on Pine St., Christmas of 2011, before he was shot dead. Ramos and Liu the two on Myrtle and Tompkins, never had a chance to even pull their own guns. This is the real life of cops in the city, two dead now.

Jimmy Breslin once wrote in this newspaper, “Dies the victim, dies the city.” Dies a cop dies the city.
