Iran nuke deal apparently doesn't require Kerry

Secretary of State John Kerry is due to leave Vienna where talks over Iran’s nuclear program are under way.

U.S. officials said Kerry is heading for Paris on November 21 to meet with “European counterparts.”

A U.S. statement said Kerry’s “future travel schedule is still being finalized, and we have not yet determined when he will return to Vienna.”

Diplomats were quoted as saying French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius and British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond were also leaving the Vienna talks after arriving earlier in the day.

Hammond earlier said world powers and Iran have a “long way to go” if they are to succeed in reaching a deal.

Hammond said Iran has a “huge” amount to gain if it can show sufficient flexibility.
