John McCain may be busy campaigning for Republican Senate candidates, but that doesn’t mean he’s not multi-tasking and thinking about his own election plans in Arizona.

The Arizona Republic reports McCain will sit down with supporters on Nov. 6, two days after the midterm elections, to go over the 2014 results and “my thoughts on my re-election in 2016.”
McCain’s moves are being closely watched in Arizona, where he easily dispatched a Tea Party-fueled challenge in 2010 from former congressman J.D. Hayworth. The former Republican presidential nominee will be 80 years old in 2016.
