NJ poll: Christie's favorable rating at 42/45, underwater for the first time in three years

The last time Christie experienced such low polling was in August 2011 when just 44 percent said they had a favorable opinion of Christie, who is considered a possible contender for the GOP’s 2016 nomination.

Christie in the latest poll also lost a majority of those who say they approve of his job as governor, dropping three points to 49 percent.

Despite Christie’s year-long battle over Bridgegate, voters cited taxes and economy and jobs as their top concerns at 24 and 21 percent respectively. Corruption and abuse of power was listed as the third concern at 16 percent.
