“I think the first thing you have to do is, you need to not be running around setting red lines that you’re not going to adhere to,” he said, a reference to President Barack Obama’s handling of Syria. “There are red lines you may set at some point in time but if you set a red line such as Syria and don’t adhere to it, I think that invites people to not take you seriously.
“I think almost all factions of the Republican Party from the most hawkish to the least hawkish have agreed really there isn’t much of a military option here but we should condemn absolutely and unequivocally the aggression of Russia by invading sovereign territory,” he continued.
