Asked about tax reform at a press breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, Corker said: “I see no way it is going to be dealt with this year. In fact, I see no way anything important is going to be dealt with this year.”

He said “GSE reform” — meaning government-sponsored enterprises like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac — was the only possible exception.
“Tax reform certainly is not going to happen this year. I don’t think immigration is going to happen this year,” Corker said.
