IT’S NOT THAT SEXY
Aside from the thong model matter, the Walker emails don’t appear to contain much of the made-for-cable salaciousness that marked other digitally fueled controversies.
In other words, it can’t measure up to Anthony Weiner. The former congressman’s errantly tweeted crotch photo and subsequent online antics cost him his House seat and a shot at being New York City mayor.
Another image-driven flap was that of Rep. Chris Lee. The publication of a shirtless photo of the married New York Republican, advertising himself as a “fit fun classy guy” on Craigslist’s dating section, prompted his swift resignation in 2011.
Then there’s former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. The State newspaper published messages it obtained between Sanford and his Argentinian mistress in 2009. The Republican was left for dead politically, but he managed to get some redemption when the public voted him into Congress in 2013.
