McCain is not up for re-election until 2016, but appears to be kicking things off early. An invitation from “Friends of John McCain” bills a Jan. 28 fundraiser as the senator’s “first D.C. reelect reception” at Johnny’s Half Shell in Washington. Requested donations range between $1,000 and $5,200.

In December, McCain hosted a New York fundraiser as he “(considered) running for re-election to the U.S. Senate.” McCain said on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno this past week he was “looking very seriously” at another run.
