"I still believe there is a possibility that she's not going to run"

HALPERIN: Well, look, you know, we write some about her in Double Down, but her husband’s a bigger character because she was Secretary of State. And I still believe there is a possibility that she’s not going to run. I know that everybody thinks it is a foregone conclusion; I think there’s never been a cycle where one person so freezes, not just her party’s potential candidates, but the other party’s as well in some ways. But I think she may decide as Haley Barbour did — as we write in Double Down — she may decide if she runs, she is going to run to win; if she wins, she is going to run for reelection. At that point, she basically has spent the next 10 years doing nothing but this and she’s not going to be playing very much with the dogs and going to very many movies or having a normal life. And I think there is a possibility she sort of stares at that prospect and decides maybe she’ll take a pass. Maybe the odds of that aren’t so great, but I don’t think they are nothing.

JOSH KING, HOST: And perhaps she might think about a 78-year-old person who doesn’t have that much more time to enjoy her grandchildren and perhaps anoint a future female president rather than be that herself.
