My husband Jeff grew up without Santa. We haven’t done Santa with our kids. I know Jeff thought his parents did it intentionally, but it just turns out he was the youngest and by the time he could remember, his siblings already knew Santa didn’t exist. We told our son that Santa lived a long time ago, and that he was kind to children. When he was four, a sales clerk asked him what Santa was bringing him, and he stated very emphatically that “Mommy and Daddy told me that Santa Claus was dead!”
