The American public made it very clear in multiple polls it has no interest in getting involved in Syria, and there was a powerful groundswell of opposition that spread through Congress. But you wouldn’t know that if you watched cable news. A new Pew study finds that on the whole, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and even Al Jazeera America did a lot more “pro-strike” stories than “anti-strike” ones. And you may be surprised to find out which one topped the list…
This is part of the same Pew study that found Al Jazeera’s coverage of the Syria story was largely the same as the rest of the media’s. The study also examined how cable news has been covering the news, and while a majority of the public is opposed to striking Syria, the cable news coverage leaned more towards striking.
