President Barack Obama is reviewing his Syria strategy in a Saturday morning meeting with his national security aides, according to a White House official.
Obama called reports of the Syrian government using chemical weapons against rebels “troublesome” in an interview with CNN that aired Friday, and Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said Obama had asked for a menu of “military options.

But the White House official cautioned that Obama would “act very deliberately so that we’re making decisions consistent with our national interest as well as our assessment of what can advance our objectives in Syria.”
