Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has told his mother that he is receiving donations from people and even has a bank account set up for funds, according to a new report.
In a recording of their first phone call from prison, Tsarnaev told his mother that he received about a thousand dollars in a bank account that someone set up for him since his arrest, according to ABC News. His mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, has also said that the family received $8,000 from supportive donors. The details of the recording was originally released by Channel 4 News in the U.K.
According to the International Business Times, the mother played back the six-minute phone call with her son during the interview with the U.K. news station. The recording was in the family’s native Russian.
