Poll: Just 26% support Geraldo's Senate bid

According to a new poll from Monmouth University, only 26 percent of New Jersey voters say there are “very” or “somewhat” likely to vote for Rivera should he choose to run. Nearly two-thirds, or 65 percent, said they would not be likely to vote for Rivera; including a 51-percent majority who say they would not consider voting for him at all.

The numbers are similarly unpromising among Republicans, 48 percent of whom said they would be unlikely to vote for Rivera. Only 44 percent said they would be likely to vote for him. (The poll sampled 803 New Jersey adults, with a margin of error of +3.5 percent.)
