In a survey of more than 80 man-woman friends they found that men were more attracted to their female friend than vice versa.

Men also consistently and mistakenly assumed that their female friend was attracted to them more than they actually were.

Whether the female was already in a relationship didn’t matter – the man was still attracted to them.
