Rick Santorum wants to talk about the fact that he’s the real conservative in the presidential race.

But voters here — where Santorum is campaigning hard for the the non-binding caucus Tuesday, taking advantage of the fact that Newt Gingrich isn’t on the ballot — have something else on their minds: the health of his daughter, Bella.

Bella suffers from the rare genetic disorder Trisomy 18 and was suddenly rushed to the hospital last weekend with pneumonia. Santorum returned to the trail once it was clear she was recovering, and Bella was released from the hospital Thursday night. But with the media heavily covering the health scare, voters want to know more.
