“I’m in a group, the group of six, which has now expanded to the group of 45, and I basically said to them, ‘If the supercommittee doesn’t produce, now it’s our turn to put it on paper.’ And I think that is the best way to move this forward and maybe restore a little bit of confidence in Congress,” said Durbin.
