It’s clear that the Senate freshmen believe in spite of our current fiscal crisis, the United States must not cut back on spending that directly affects the national security of the United States, as Israel is becoming increasingly isolated and militant Islamic fundamentalism continues its resurgence in the region.

Freshman Kentucky Senator Rand Paul did not sign the letter, presumably because he believes that the United States needs to cut ‘all’ foreign aid including vital military aid to Israel.
