Sweeney said he gives Christie “at least” a 50/50 chance of running for national office in 2012, and said
“I think that he’s not going to want to do something and lose, and right now I don’t think he thinks he can beat [Barack] Obama,” he said. “I think if he has a real clear shot and he thinks things are going that way, he absolutely runs. Otherwise he waits until 2016 when the field is clear.”
