Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) said Tuesday he sees a “resurgence” for Democrats in a new Gallup poll, striking an optimistic tone as Democrats prepare for the party’s worst election environment since 1994.

“That’s an 11 point turnaround in less than 21 days. That doesn’t sound like a death knell to me. That sounds like a party that’s on the move and a public that is becoming more and more aware of the radical policies being proposed by some republican nominees,” he said.
