Leave Reid alone, says ... Tom Coburn?

“Washington plays a game of gotcha,” Coburn said, according to the Tulsa World. “It pains me that Republicans are saying Harry Reid ought to step down. When you point a finger, you have four fingers pointing back at you. There is not anybody in Washington who has not said something that could be judged inappropriate and wrong.”…

It remains to be seen whether Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) will also call on Reid to step down. The two men — long-time senators who served together on the Appropriations Committee — have a fairly close relationship and are forced to work together on a daily basis simply to keep the Senate operating.
