In a bit of a bizarre claim, Romney argued that liberals truly believe that a government-run economy should replace any private economy.

“The liberals, in their heart believe that the private enterprise system — profitability, for instance — that those things are inefficient and wrong, and that a government-run system would be better,” Romney said in an interview on the Fox Business Network…

“No one wants to see excessive pay. But this is a free country,” he said. “It’s simply wrong to think that government knows better.”
