It's on: Obama, Gates, and Crowley to have beer on Thursday

There was a lot of back and forth at the White House on Monday about the promised kiss-and-make-up session — mostly related to what kind of beer that Mr. Obama — who isn’t known for beer-drinking — might serve.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs promised Budweiser, the all-American king of beers, saying that that’s what Mr. Obama drank while at a recent baseball game.
