So, to all the conservatives defending the police in the Gates case, I have a few questions. Should it be illegal to talk back to the cops? To accuse them of racism? To ask a politician uncomfortable questions? To photograph the police arresting people on a public street? If yes, you’re essentially saying that cops can’t be questioned and should have many more rights than the rest of us.
