Everybody's clearing tabbies for the weekend ...
Team Trump releases a brutal montage of Kamala Harris without her script

"If VP Harris were a confident, competent candidate well-prepared to be president, she would be willing, even eager, to outline her plans and explain herself to inquiring journalists. But she is not. She appears afraid she'll remind people why so many came to regard her as a giggling lightweight."
===
===
"“They need to treat Kamala Harris’s superciliousness as needing more protection than Joe Biden’s senility,” he said. “They let him get exposed in a debate, and they lost their candidate that they had voted for in the primaries.”
"He added, “Now they know that you just can’t . . . let someone who has goo for brains go out there and speak for themselves. And Kamala Harris has goo for brains. I’m sorry. She is not impressive in any way whatsoever unless the lines are scripted."

===
From Ed: This looks like a good way to hit Harris on both vapidity and on the issues. Maybe Scott should license this to other Republicans.

"“With Walz’s background, for example, very weird is having feminine products in elementary school boys’ bathrooms,” the official said, referring to the governor supporting putting tampons in both girls’ and boys’ bathrooms.
"“There’s so much weirdness with just their obsession with tearing down so much of the cultural norms. It’s just, it’s a smokescreen. They’re trying to, they said they’re trying to ‘David Copperfield’ their way out of some really, really terrible policies.”
"“Have you see Kamala speak? That’s weird. That’s, that’s not presidential,” the Trump official went on.
"“When you’re talking about who’s at the top of the ticket, voters want to know that they have a strong president [who] can bring a change. They don’t,” the official said. “And a couple of memes? I mean, Kamala herself. The laugh is weird. It just is. And so, so I think that’s, that’s just a smokescreen.”"

"The chaplain of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s field artillery regiment said there is no excuse for the Democratic VP pick to have abandoned his National Guard unit before a critical deployment — not even running for Congress.
"“In our world, to drop out after a WARNORD [warning order] is issued is cowardly, especially for a senior enlisted guy,” retired Capt. Corey Bjertness, now a pastor in Horace, North Dakota, told The Post."

FLASHBACK: Tim Walz thanked Nancy Pelosi at a press conference in 2007 in which she said while introducing him that "we appreciate his service on the battlefield."

"Since Tim Walz became governor, Minnesota has faced an exodus of residents fleeing the state, taking nearly $5 billion of household income with them, according to data reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon.
"On net, nearly 46,000 Minnesotans left between April 1, 2020, and July 1, 2023, according to the most recently available Census data, with many fleeing Walz’s major tax increases for the income tax-free states of Florida and Texas. The Land of 10,000 Lakes lost more than 19,000 in 2022 alone, the biggest drop in at least 30 years.
"It's not clear what led to the exodus, but in addition to tax surges, spending increases, and other progressive initiatives, Minnesota, under Walz's watch, has faced a spike in violent crime and a drop in academic achievement."
From Ed: It's clear enough to the rest of us what led to the exodus. It was the combination of punitive taxation and the utter failure of leadership that led to the George Floyd riots. Just as with California, the people with capital are fleeing, which will hollow out the state's middle class. And Minnesota's weather won't keep the super-wealthy around like it does in California, either.

In November 2022, Gov. Tim Walz dismissed the learning loss resulting from his school closures: "I don't buy it... These kids learned resiliency... They had to figure out how to get online."

""I think it's troubling. I think, you know, the American people need to see their candidate and President Biden was doing the same thing. I was in the primary for 19 months.
"I've been running without either of them coming out to debate, to talk, to have unscripted interviews with the press, to have unscripted encounters with voters, the kind of thing that, you know, you need in a democracy. We live in a democracy, we're supposed to have contact with our political leaders. They're not supposed to be anointed.""
