Russia rebuked, Trump triumphant, and I'm your Daisy? Todays #TEMS

It’s been a tremendous, tumultuous week in politics this week! Let’s take a step back as we approach the weekend. We have a fun discussion of American literature on the latest episode of The Ed Morrissey Show podcast with my friend Libby Sternberg, and a reimagining of The Great Gatsby as well. Before the change of pace, though, I cover the day’s top news as usual, including the latest on Russia, Ukraine, Donald Trump, and the Left’s hilarious meltdown over 50 illegal immigrants deplaning on Martha’s Vineyard.

Today’s show features:

  •  What happened to Daisy Buchanan after the events of The Great Gatsby? F. Scott Fitzgerald never wrote more about this central character, but my friend Libby Sternberg has in her new novel Daisy. We discuss Fitzgerald’s brilliance, why Sternberg wanted to write about this seminal character, and even debate about The Great American Novel — a bit, anyway.
  • Plus, I review the developments in the Russo-Ukraine war, Vladimir Putin’s humiliation in India and Germany, and the prospects for a negotiated end to the war.
  • I do a quick review of Donald Trump’s tactical victory in court over the Mar-a-Lago raid, and the sheer avalanche of hypocrisy in Martha’s Vineyard.

And while we head into the weekend, don’t miss the other #TEMS podcasts this week:
