Tapper: Oops, Hillary did it again!

“Is that true?” CNN’s Jake Tapper asked last night about Hillary Clinton’s repeated claims that James Comey’s FBI investigation vindicated her claims of innocence. “Did FBI Director James Comey testify that the repeated comments Hillary Clinton had made to the public about her private e-mail server, quote, ‘were truthful’?” It’s the pause and the glare Tapper gives that makes the succeeding “No” all the more delicious.

Not that it’s stopping Hillary from continuing to lie about it, however:

Before we get to more recent attempts to lie her way out of this, Tapper points out that Comey did say Hillary didn’t lie … to the FBI. That would have brought an indictment for obstruction of justice, which is why Hillary didn’t press her luck in the interrogation. But as Tapper points out, that’s not the question Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace asked. He asked Hillary if her public statements — including the repeated claims that she had never transmitted classified information herself — were lies. Comey specifically stated in his statement to the press that Hillary herself had done so, but that he could not find enough intent to recommend prosecution for it.

As Allahpundit pointed out yesterday, that hasn’t stopped Hillary from sticking with that four-Pinocchio story, and adding to it by claiming all 30,000 deleted e-mails were personal:

The ads for Hillary practically write themselves at this point. All one has to do is take these statements and clip them together with clips from Comey’s statement, and res ipsa loquitur. We’ve seen people do them on their own, and even a lengthy Facebook version from Team Trump. Why aren’t we seeing them on TV yet, and why isn’t this the message of the week?
