The Center for Medical Progress released another in its ongoing series of undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s operations and trade in organ harvesting. Dr. Savita Ginde, the VP of PP’s Rocky Mountains group who appeared briefly in the previous video, echoes Deborah Nucatola in explaining how PP trains its technicians to adjust their procedures to maximize organ and tissue extraction — a violation of the federal law that allows such transfers in the first place. Ginde also discusses how to use language to obfuscate the obvious transaction taking place, the sale of specific organs for specific compensation.

“Putting it under ‘research’ gives us a little bit of an overhang over the whole thing,” Ginde remarks. “If you have someone in a really anti state who’s going to be doing this for you, they’re probably going to get caught.”

Ginde also admits on video that some of the organ harvesting takes place on babies delivered intact and potentially alive first, which would violate the federal Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which went into effect in 2002. Note well that this contains disturbing imagery, starting at 8:40 in the video, much of which was included in the previous video, but some of which is new. Among the latter is the technician chorting, “And another boy!” It’s stomach-turning on many levels:

New undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains’ Vice President and Medical Director, Dr. Savita Ginde, negotiating a fetal body parts deal, agreeing multiple times to illicit pricing per body part harvested, and suggesting ways to avoid legal consequences.

Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains (PPRM) is a wealthy, multi-state Planned Parenthood affiliate that does over 10,000 abortions per year. PPRM has a contract to supply aborted fetal tissue to Colorado State University in Fort Collins.

In the video, actors posing as representatives from a human biologics company meet with Ginde at the abortion-clinic headquarters of PPRM in Denver to discuss a potential partnership to harvest fetal organs. When the actors request intact fetal specimens, Ginde reveals that in PPRM’s abortion practice, “Sometimes, if we get, if someone delivers before we get to see them for a procedure, then we are intact.”

Since PPRM does not use digoxin or other feticide in its 2nd trimester procedures, any intact deliveries before an abortion are potentially born-alive infants under federal law (1 USC 8).

“We’d have to do a little bit of training with the providers or something to make sure that they don’t crush” fetal organs during 2nd trimester abortions, says Ginde, brainstorming ways to ensure the abortion doctors at PPRM provide usable fetal organs.

Ginde references Nucatola more than once in this video, noting that she coordinates on messaging with the national office on how to discuss the compensation for organ harvesting. Planned Parenthood wants to maximize its revenue, but knows that it has to use deceptive language in public to keep the nature of this end of the business from being fully comprehended.

The dissection scene is grisly, to say the least. The same organization that insists it only removes “clumps of cells” has its technician pushing a fetal brain around the pie plate, while pointing out the child’s kidneys, adrenal glands, stomach, heart, and eyeballs. This came from a first-trimester fetus, a stage at which the abortion industry insists that its service has no moral consequences.

Planned Parenthood wants to keep the debate on these points to deflect from the realdebate — the nature of abortion itself, and the deliberate minimization in language that has allowed it. Abortion defenders claim that the procedure does not terminate life, and that it has no more moral meaning than excising a tumor or a cyst, a “clump of cells” in the most common construction. On Twitter, a young actor in Hollywood offered a more crude assessment this week. “A pile of goop should not have more rights than a human being,”Lucas Neff tweeted, “period.”

Now, though, we see that the same abortion clinics that argue for the “pile of goop” status see things very, very differently when it comes time to benefit from the results of their services. They adjust their techniques to extract and market human organs for buyers to meet demand, with the clear value attached on the basis of both their humanity and specificity. Clinic executives like Dr. Ginde want to negotiate those markets on a per-item basis because of the value that humanity and specificity provides to both parties, “just because we can see how much we can get out of it.”

The true danger to Planned Parenthood and the entire industry is the exposure of their hypocrisy. The two positions of “clumps of cells” and negotiating over human organs from abortions are mutually exclusive. One cannot extract human organs from “a pile of goop,” or from tumors or undifferentiated “clumps of cells.” Human organs come from human beings, and the only way to harvest them from unborn human beings is to kill them first. The videos cut through all of the misdirection, all of the antiseptic generalities used in defense of abortion, to expose its true nature — and that’s what has Planned Parenthood panicked over the videos.
