Today on The Ed Morrissey Show (4 pm ET), we have a great slate of guests. First, Rep. Tim Griffin (R-AR) joins us to talk about some of his initiatives, including a request to meet with Barack Obama and a number of other Republicans to discuss real health-care reform. We’ll discuss Rep. Griffin’s attempts to block a back-door bailout of insurers through the repeal of the “risk corridor” indemnification in ObamaCare. If we get time, we will also put in a plug for his State of the Union essay contest for Central Arkansas high-school students, too.
In the second half, Stephen Halbrook joins us to discuss his new book, Gun Control in the Third Reich: Disarming the Jews and “Enemies of the State”, which came out last November. Halbrook has researched recently uncovered documents within the Nazi government that demonstrated their effort to disarm their enemies before imposing tyranny on Germany and most of Europe. Stephen P. Halbrook is a Research Fellow with the Independent Institute who has argued and won three constitutional law cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, and appears on Fox News as an analyst.
