Via The Corner, Fred Thompson released a video two weeks ago extolling the virtues of American patriotism. It borrows a bit from Paul Harvey’s “So God made a farmer,” which became perhaps the most popular of this year’s Super Bowl commercials. This video goes on for much longer and it greater detail than the one-minute TV spot, and it features Thompson himself as narrator:

Thompson has recently launched a new website, Fred Thompson’s America, an effort to promote American patriotism, and this video is the first big effort. We haven’t heard much from Thompson of late, but his new effort should be interesting to watch unfold — and this is at least a stirring interlude, if nothing else.
