Video: A new political analogy is born

Here at Hot Air, we are committed to finding the newly-emerging political themes in any political cycle.  Actually, the analogy from this palate-cleanser isn’t exactly new, as Roland Sledge explains in his campaign ad asking Texans to elect him to the powerful Railroad Commission.  Will Rogers once said that there are three types of men — those who learn by instruction, those who learn by observation, and those who, er, just have to pee on the electric fence to believe it.  We have an awful lot of the latter category in public office now, Sledge proclaims, and it might be better to elect someone who doesn’t have to learn through self-inflicted electric-shock therapy:

Obvious question: wouldn’t electing a woman solve this problem?
