Open thread: Obama to speak on debt-ceiling crisis ... again

But will he have anything new to say?  Breaking a three-day silence, Barack Obama will once again use the bully pulpit to opine on the status of negotiations over the debt ceiling and deficit reduction at 10:20 ET from — oddly — the Diplomatic Reception Room.  What’s the likelihood of Obama becoming more or less diplomatic than in his previous appearances, speeches, and pressers?  I’d call it — slim.

The New York Post says that Obama will deliver a “statement,” which means that the White House probably won’t allow questions from the press corps.  If they don’t, it might be because Obama can’t answer the question that the White House press corps is asking: “Where’s your plan?”
