It’s time for Flight 2 of the year’s Obamateurisms of the Week, and your opportunity to choose the biggest gaffe, blunder, or misstep as the Obamateurism of the Year! In Flight 1 yesterday, voters chose Barack Obama’s scolding of the Supreme Court over a decision he mischaracterized during the State of the Union speech. That OOTD will go into the first semi-final flight. Now voters have to choose the next semi-finalist from the second list of five OOTDs from 2010.
This is only going to get tougher, folks:
- Obama off by $868 billion on CBO deficit savings projection of ObamaCare
- Obama challenges GOP on tort reform, winds up proving GOP point on reconciliation
- Obama’s “Acme Insurance” anecdote proves he doesn’t understand insurance
- Obama claims 2 million jobs saved or created, website shows 590K
- Obama gripes about filibusters in a year with none … after having 60 seats in the Senate
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for Flight 3! Also, I’ll still be looking for fresh OOTD candidates, even though I’ll likely hold off publishing them until after the first of the year.
Update: Fixed #5.
Got an Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at [email protected] with the quote and the link to the Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.
