O’Donnell outdraws Biden 5-1 in Delaware rallies in final days

Which rally would Delaware voters most like to attend?   The one that features the candidate reviled by the media as everything from a witch to a whore, or the one that features the Vice President of the United States, who represented Delaware in the Senate for more than 30 years?  Let’s go to the tape, shall we?

First up, the champeen of Delaware:

Vice president Joe Biden is urging fellow Delaware Democrats to get voters to the polls for the midterm elections.

Biden headlined a Democratic rally in downtown Wilmington on Monday evening that drew about 200 people.

And in the other corner, the Challenger No One Takes Seriously:

Tea party activists are trying to energize conservative voters to propel Republican Christine O’Donnell to a victory in Delaware’s U.S. Senate race.

More than a thousand people gathered Sunday at a rally in Wilmington to cheer on O’Donnell and GOP House candidate Glen Urquhart, another tea-party-backed candidate.

I know I’m supposed to be pragmatic.  I know that Christine O’Donnell has less chance of winning today than the Minnesota Vikings have of ending up with a winning record this season.  I know all of these things, but … I’m going to indulge in some irrational exuberance anyway, or at the very least, a little schadenfreude at Biden’s expense.  Two hundred was the best he could do in his home state on Election Eve?  Talk about an enthusiasm gap.
