Remember when we laughed about Barack Obama’s attempt to license his image? Maybe it could have prevented a bunch of suckers from losing their money in this pathetic bait and switch swindle. People paid a hundred dollars or more for Obama coins that turned out to be stickers over regular US currency (via Caleb Howe and Redstate):

Well, all I can say is caveat emptor, baby.  In fact, that would have been good advice for those wishing to vote for Obama, too.  The complaint about “false impressions” and “hidden costs” will get more than a few chuckles out of conservatives — grim chuckles, but chuckles nonetheless.  We’ve seen quite a few of both since the inauguration, and even some Obama voters have discovered the same thing.
