UK Priorities: Rapists and Violent Criminals Get Off Easy; Throw the Book at Immigration Activist

Labour has seen the so-called "grooming gang" issue as a political problem, not a public safety problem.

For years, they have tried to sweep the reality under the rug, and the only reason they haven't succeeded is that the pile of dogs**t grew so large that the rug couldn't hide it anymore.

The party has done everything it could to make the issue go away because they have much bigger fish to fry, especially suppressing any dissent about mass migration.

First, the party created a commission that would take years to produce its final report years away, and when that didn't make the issue disappear, the government passed a law requiring much higher sentences for child rapists, hoping that this would demonstrate how much they "care."

As with the investigation, this, too, has turned out to be a sham. Labour performatively passed a law, but now refuses to enforce it.

The excuse? Prisons are too crowded.

Tougher sentences for grooming gangs and child rapists should be an absolute no brainer, but Labour are DELAYING the change because the prison system cannot cope.

That is a disgraceful set of priorities, and Burnham should hang his head in shame. Did they not just release thousands of prisoners early… THIS WEEK?

For many people, the grooming gang scandal still hangs heavily over Labour. Instead of excuses and delay, there should be urgency, accountability and the toughest possible response to those who destroy children’s lives.

This country needs to protect the victims, punish the offenders and STOP making excuses.

It's the perfect liberal solution to a problem: just say the right words, and the problem is solved. In the immortal words of Bush père, "Message: I care."

But it was only a message, like almost all concern for the victimization of ordinary Britons by violent criminals.

The government is busy releasing violent criminals from prison early due to overcrowding, while simultaneously filling the prisons with people who say hurtful words or do things like disable a dinghy that was being sent back to France to pick up more illegal aliens.

Danny Tommo, who slashed the rubber boat as it was being turned around to go back to France, has been deemed so dangerous to British citizens that he must be held until his trial next year. It's a sense of justice similar to that used against others with similar ideological beliefs. Tommy Robinson famously spent months in solitary confinement for showing a movie, and Lucy Connolly spent well over a year in jail for a tweet that remained up on X for a few hours.

Whether Tommo is guilty in a technical sense is beside the point; nobody thinks that he presents a threat to Britons or even migrants, aside from his beliefs. Protesters who do far more damage in any pro-migrant riot are routinely let off the hook, and certainly don't spend months in jail awaiting trial.

Tommo is being punished before he's even tried, which is the point.

Anti-migrant activist Daniel Thomas has been refused bail during a crown court hearing over the alleged slashing of a dinghy in the English Channel.

Thomas, known to his supporters as Danny Tommo, appeared via videolink at Portsmouth Crown Court accused of criminal damage after a video appeared to show him slashing at the boat with a knife.

The 37-year-old, whose address was withheld by the court at a previous hearing, is also charged with failing to disclose the PIN to his phone.

He has been remanded in custody, with a provisional trial date set for 1 March.

The defendant, wearing a grey t-shirt and holding a copy of the Bible, did not enter a plea during the hearing but previously pleaded not guilty to both charges at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Friday.

It's in this context that you have to view Labour's decision to delay implementing the anti-child-rape law they passed. Putting people in jail for wrongthink is far more important than getting child rapists off the street. It's not the "what" you did that is dangerous; it's the "who you are" and "what you believe that really matters.

Child rapists are avoiding tougher sentences because of delays caused by prison overcrowding.

In April, Labour passed a new law requiring adults who have sex with children to face mandatory rape charges – a key recommendation in Baroness Casey's review of the grooming gang scandal.

However, the law change, which will increase the maximum sentences for offenders from 14 years in jail to life imprisonment, has yet to be implemented.

A Ministry of Justice impact assessment calculated that the increase would require up to 350 extra prison places at a time when jails are close to running out of space.

Last Thursday, 700 prisoners – including violent offenders, domestic abusers and thieves – were freed early to tackle the overcrowding crisis. Some 4,500 are to be released early over the next 10 months to free up space.

The MoJ said it remained committed to enacting the new child rape laws, but did not give a date for their introduction.

Officials said it had to be "carefully staged" to ensure that the criminal justice system had the "processes, capacity and resources" to implement them "safely and consistently".

The importance of coddling migrants is based on the luxury beliefs of the British elite, who are never in a position to have to live with the consequences of their actions. The rapes, the degradation of the cities, the swamping of small communities with illegal aliens who outnumber the residents 4-1 — none of that impacts them.

What does is their white guilt, which also motivates their harsh punishment of people like Tommy Robinson, Lucy Connolly, and Danny Tommo. They are bad, mean, ugly white people who are too nasty to the nice Muslim migrants who just want a better life, and a bit of nookie from young English girls.

In the long run, the issue may be the need for more prisons, but in the short run, who gets incarcerated and for how long until that cell shortage is rectified is a matter of priorities. And Labour is quite clear about its priorities: migrants get to the front of the line when it comes to resources, and to the back of the line when it comes to taking their punishment for crimes.

Now here's a modest proposal: take all that money that is being used to subsidize illegal aliens and the "small boat" migrants and use it to build more prisons. You could build some quick temporary housing in secure areas for low-security prisoners, or even use a decommissioned military base with fencing and guards.

But that is the opposite of what Labour wants, and their actions speak far louder than words. They pour all their effort into aiding migrants, covering up their crimes, reducing sentences for them when they are caught, and throwing the book at anybody who notices and complains.

Nobody on the left seems to be interested in the fact that the mass migration is clearly not about "refugees" seeking "asylum." That argument is clearly absurd, given that these invaders bypass every Muslim country and come straight to European countries and the United Kingdom.

They see Europeans as easy pickings. However different the norms in Muslim countries are, each of these child groomers could easily have had their hands chopped off or have been executed for the behaviors that get them a slap on the wrist in Europe. I sincerely doubt any of these men would be welcomed with open arms in the UAE, for instance, because they know better who these men really are.

The transnationalists don't see these migrants as a threat, but as an opportunity; at least they do now. Eventually, when the elites are on the menu, they may change their minds.

But for now the real enemy is the working classes, who need to be put in their place, and when they step out of line, that place is in prison.

The child rapists? They get to stay on the streets.
