New Crime Stats: Children of Migrants More Likely to Be Criminals Than First Generation

Inquisitive Bird

I have been following Danish crime stats because Denmark is one of the few countries that track crime using key demographic variables such as race, religion, country of origin, and immigration status (and their descendants).

For years now, Danish crime statistics tell us what we already can intuit from the data we do have: migrants from Muslim countries commit crimes at a vastly higher rate than native-born Europeans, and the statistics indicate that the rates aren't even close. They are especially represented in the sexual crime statistics, but in just about every category, the differences are remarkable.

But what most people who support mass migration might be surprised to learn is this: their male descendants are even more likely to commit crimes and are often more likely to be Islamist extremists than their parents. Again, the statistics show the differences aren't even close.

There aren't yet any stories about the new crime statistics in English, but Grok flagged them because I have a regular background search set up for issues like the impact of immigration in Western countries with liberal immigration policies.

Thanks Grok!

Here are the basic facts: as first-generation Muslim immigrants have aged, their propensity to commit crimes has decreased somewhat, leading to a slight decline in first-generation crime statistics. They are now only about two times more likely to commit crimes as native-born Danes, which is still pretty bad.

More worrying is that their sons are even more likely to commit crimes than they were; the rate is three times as high, or even higher in some cases, and they are also more likely to see themselves as the natural replacements for a declining population in their adopted countries.

Statistics Denmark extract for the Ministry of Immigration and Integration, age-adjusted Criminal Code index, native Danish men = 100.

  • MENAPT immigrant men (Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, Turkey): 238 in 2016 → 214 in 2025. Still more than double the native baseline, but down.
  • Their Danish-born sons (descendants): 306 in 2024 → 326 in 2025. Record for that group; more than native Danish men.
  • Ministry barometer summary of the same 2025 data: MENAPT immigrant men ~ the male population average; descendants ~, after age adjustment.
  • 2025 convictions: ~159,000 people (~120,000 men). ~28,000 immigrants and 12,000+ descendants among those convicted.

Social Democrat Immigration Minister Morten Bødskov told Berlingske this is one of the largest immigration-policy problems: values, social inheritance, and a “rejection of Denmark” — not social conditions alone, including fathers who look the other way.

The descendants of Danish immigrants, who were born in Denmark, educated in Denmark, and have socioeconomic statuses similar to their Danish peers, are more than three times as likely to become criminals than their European peers.

This is a pattern that only applies to migrants and their descendants from Muslim countries. Immigrants from European countries are, pretty much, just like Danes in their criminal proclivities.

One of the main arguments for mass migration, aside from the need for workers, is that the problems of integrating migrants will disappear as the second generation grows up and become Danes. They are, after all, not "immigrants."

These crime statistics blow that narrative up. It's true that they are different from their parents. Only, they are worse.

Denmark is a high social trust society, and it is being eaten up by the flood of Muslim migrants. The crime statistics are very clear about this, and it's not just "feelz" and nativism behind the worries.
