I've written a number of times about the anti-natalism of the liberal movement. Leftists love to use the "for the children" argument because normal people love kids and are willing to sacrifice a great deal for them, but their passion is population reduction, particularly among the "colonizers" (white people).
There is so much anti-child propaganda that it has become a part of the background noise, and younger people have bought into the idea that having kids holds you back and makes you unhappy.
There is the DINK movement, which has gotten enormous play in Pravda Media. DINK means "Dual Income No Kids," and it is supposed to be the path to fulfillment. There is the empowerment movement, which preaches that true happiness comes from professional success, and having children prevents women from reaching their potential. There is the "world is burning" argument, which is based on the false notion that birthing children harms them because the world is ending. And, of course, the "having a kid will ruin your life" argument, which fuels the abortion industry.
There's even a new genre of propaganda telling women not to have children because they will regret it.
Sooner or later, everyone has to decide whether to give up lazy weekends, disposable income, and overall peace of mind to have a baby instead. For many of those on the fence, one anxiety looms large: What if I make the wrong choice? Parent regret is more common than you might… pic.twitter.com/zaWtOQKl5W

The propaganda is everywhere, and it has fueled the "abortion until birth" movement, and it has been so successful that having children ranks among the lowest goals for younger women, and especially younger Harris voters according to an NBC poll:

Children are not just a drag on your path to success; even considering having them is irresponsible. And not just or especially among poor people on welfare, but in many ways more specifically for people who are upwardly mobile.

I have been keeping my eye on this trend for a long while, both because it is based on flawed and damaging beliefs, but also because it is having a devastating effect on our culture, which is not reproducing.
This is the study's own table.

They chose to examine: parents vs. nonparents.
Parents are happier. Less sad. Less guilty. More optimistic. More meaning in life. More satisfied with life.
Parents win on 11 of 12 measures.
It's right there. They published it. pic.twitter.com/sR9StMfIL5
That's why I was particularly drawn to this discussion of a study that purported to show that having kids was a bad thing. It doesn't make you happier to have kids, but it ruins your relationships?

Really? That contradicts everything that I have read in the past. And that's because the stated conclusions are not supported by the study, which almost nobody will actually read. They will see the propaganda instead.
But when I downloaded the researchers' own dataset and grouped them the way they should have been grouped from the start:

Married PARENTS ranked #1 on 8 out of 9 measures.
No other group ranked first on more than one. It wasn't close. pic.twitter.com/uWbig8kWX1
Unsurprisingly to anybody who knows how social scientists and Pravda manipulate the data to torture it into saying what they want, the research indicates that married parents are the happiest group out there, and even unmarried parents are happier than people without children.

This should surprise nobody because, for the vast majority of people, we work to live instead of living to work. It's hard to look back on a career as a middle manager and believe that life's meaning was pushing paper or making a supply chain more efficient.

It's not that doing a good job isn't fulfilling, but it's not what makes life worth living. DINKs seem awfully proud of being able to go to COSTCO whenever they like, but is that really the apex of living?
Married parents report the least guilt, the least sadness, the most meaning, the most life satisfaction.

This is not ambiguous.
Married parenthood is the best arrangement for human flourishing in this dataset.
When one is on one's deathbed, is it better to be surrounded by one's descendants or one's "Employee of the Month" plaques?
I'm an amateur who clicked links and opened spreadsheets.

It’s shocking how researchers and the media are aligned against family.
Telling people kids don't make you happy and ruin your marriage hurts everyone especially the kids who are never born because someone believed it.
March 2026 has been a banner time for regretful parent stories, while the DINK propaganda period was last year, apparently. It makes you wonder whether is this hive mind behavior, or coordinated consciously.
Minneapolis anti-patriarchy single mom, who claimed she doesn’t want to be a mother anymore, also posted an emotional meltdown, calling for vengeance against Trump supporters, demanding they be tried and placed on the no-fly list, and facing backlash.

It's impossible not to see the hostility to reproduction that lies near the heart of the leftist movement. Abortion. Gender ideology. The Biden Administration classifed Catholics as domestic terrorists, and even labeled "motherhood" as an indicator of extremist ideology.
Exactly, it literally says motherhood is extremism

Approving of motherhood is "domestic extremism" and "white supremacy?" Apparently so.
Up is down, black is white. Apple pie is poison and motherhood the path to terrorism. Welcome to leftism.
