Tony Blair's 'New Britain' Hasn't Worked Out So Well

Americans can't name many 20th-century British Prime Ministers (I could only name a few, to be honest). Still, anybody who got a decent education would probably name Winston Churchill (or Margaret Thatcher) as the best, and Neville Chamberlain as the worst.

Chamberlain sticks in our minds because he tried to make peace with Hitler, and that didn't work out so well. Yet Chamberlain's failures, I would argue, pale in comparison to those of Tony Blair, who should go down as the worst PM of the 20th (and perhaps the 21st) century.

Chamberlain at least understood that Germany presented a serious threat to Great Britain. While his negotiations with Hitler and appeasement caused serious harm, he didn't actually surrender England to Germany. He reversed course within fewer than two years of his attempts to reconcile with Germany and began rearming Britain, and declared war after Hitler's invasion of Poland.

Tony Blair, on the other hand, consciously chose to destroy his country and replace it with what he called "Global Britain." He may have begun the process of surrendering the country to a mass of hostile migrants. Blair originally describes his vision as "New Britain," and upon leaving office, his focus is stated more clearly as "global," which describes his policies as PM just as well.

Blair pushed mightily for mass immigration, or even population replacement, and complained that Britain needed a new brand. While his focus was to increase economic migration and not to encourage asylum seekers per se, he laid the groundwork for the disaster we see today.

I have written countless articles about the decline of Europe, and especially about the slow-burning British Revolution, whose outcome is very much up in the air. I commend to you a piece about how the continent is being Islamized, not just by migrants, but as a policy of European governments

The disastrous outcome of these policies has resulted in a massive increase in sex crimes (and other violent crimes as well. For nearly two decades, Great Britain has endured roving "South Asian" rape gangs, the reality of which has been systematically covered up by the authorities. Now, when you hear that a rapist is "from Leamington" you should almost assume that they are not, in fact, from Leamington.

Pointing these facts out can land you in jail, and soon enough, Britons won't even have the opportunity to make their case to a jury of their peers, but instead will face judges who routinely sentence people who question mass migration to longer sentences than the actual paedos and rapists themselves.

Tony Blair started this process. It was a conscious decision, based on his, I assume, sincere belief that "diversity is our strength."

That was always a slogan, not a well-thought-out or deeply investigated conclusion from the evidence. Blair thought Great Britain was old and stuffy, so he decided that you might as well replace the population with a younger, hipper crowd who like to chant about Allah and Sharia law.

It was civilizational suicide. It's one thing to seek out talent from around the globe in order to compete with a far more dynamic United States, it's another to assume that people can be "global citizens" and that there is no difference between a Briton who has been raised in a culture that spent centuries building a democracy and common law and a mass of people who believe marrying a 9-year-old is perfectly acceptable, and that women are subhuman toys to be used and tossed in the trash.

The Tories were almost as bad as Labour, although the massive electoral defeat and the rise of Reform UK is whipping the leadership into line.

But the establishment commitment to "Global Britain" is deeply ingrained—to the point that it seems the entire legal system is dedicated to suppressing any dissent from the globalist vision of a "multicultural" Britain that is functionally ruled by a 7th-century religion.

Blair, of course, will pay no reputational price for his betrayal of his country and for setting it down the path to cultural suicide. He says all the right words, is slick, and gets applause at World Economic Forum conferences.

Meanwhile, ordinary Britons are paying an enormous price, and if I had to bet, the culture will never recover. It's hard to see how, after decades of mass importation of hostile migrants, it could reverse course. Instead, the establishment is doing its best to clamp down on any dissent.

After all, cultural Britons are polite on the whole, and would really rather not stir the pot, especially when a Facebook post or a tweet can land you in jail.

All this is thanks to Tony Blair, who made clear that he wanted a new, globalist Britain.

Unfortunately, the globalists own the profession of History, and soon enough, there will be no actual historians left to document the suicide of Britain, so I fear nobody a century or two from now will know that Blair was the author of this disaster.
