Millions of truly decent Americans are deeply concerned that Trump's immigration enforcement policies have crossed the line between "tough" and "cruel," and much of the blame for this misconception lies in the way that the issue is covered in Pravda Media.
The rest of it lies with the Democrats. But let's face it, politicians for the most part have credibility outside the circle of their brainwashed acolytes only because the media treats them as if they are crusading truth-tellers and not craven power and money grubbers. Who, after all, would take a pencil-necked, greasy liar seriously if the media didn't portray him as a credible crusader for the truth?
To hear the media tell it, innocent mothers and fathers, hard-working farmworkers, and salt-of-the-earth families are being cruelly arrested and deported merely because they are Brown. US citizens are being caught up in punitive dragnets, having done nothing more than walking while Brown.
No doubt, in all the hundreds of thousands of interactions, something bad happens—law enforcement is by its nature adversarial, and not every law enforcement officer is top-notch—but the claims that there is a reign of terror led by Trump's Gestapo is absurd. Ordinary Terry stops happen every day, and while they may be inconvenient and annoying to innocent people, they are a necessary part of law enforcement. Using them in immigration enforcement is akin to using them in any other form of law enforcement.
The media is creating a Narrative™ utterly divorced from reality. "Protests" are protected by the First Amendment. This is not a protest.
Arresting someone for throwing bricks at federal agents is not a violation of freedom of speech. And shutting down a cannabis farm that was employing 14 children working as slave laborers is only wrong in the minds of child abusers. https://t.co/4qXUMNmyHg

News stories portray the arrest of criminals as if ICE is grossly oppressing people for no good reason.
Why is @NBCBayArea peddling a hoax for a PEDOPHILE?
— Homeland Security (@DHSgov) October 29, 2025
Here are the FACTS: @ICEgov arrested Gerardo Rojas-Leyva, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, with a rap sheet including lewd and lascivious acts with a child, battery of a spouse, domestic battery, and providing… pic.twitter.com/BWyUsWjAml
They are portraying dangerous criminals and pedophiles as if they are the salt of the earth, which, among many awful things, is simply gross. Describing a child rapist and domestic abuser as a "father" is insane.
Candidates for Congress are celebrated for exercising their First Amendment right to assemble and protest government actions, when in fact they are committing crimes and participating in violence.
You tried to physically block a federal agent from conducting a lawful operation.

As I wrote on Monday, the Chicago Tribune wrote a long story about a father who was ripped away from his children, who cried out, "Papa, I love you." It was heart-wrenching, as they told it. Liberals were outraged.
Because he has an active deportation order for previously entering the country illegally, she now has to wait for him to be deported before the family can reunite with him.

According to ICE, Carlos was previously deported in 2012. ICE also claims that Carlos has a criminal…
Of course, the Tribune didn't get to the reason why he was arrested until 22 paragraphs into the story. Twenty-two, when 99% of the readers had left the story.
He was a fugitive who had been deported before, had a deportation order, and was resisting arrest. That his kids were crying was natural, of course, but hardly the central fact of the story unless you wanted to slander ICE.
Rapists, drug dealers, gang members, and felons with rap sheets as long as your arm or longer are being labeled "fathers," and "farm-workers." Cannabis farms employing child labor, where illegal aliens shoot at ICE agents while trying to escape, are being described as "farms" where you are led to believe that the sex offenders working there alongside children who were trafficked into the country are picking strawberries or something.
The propaganda works, at least with suburban moms who hate the idea of being mean. As long as you spin the story and leave out the relevant facts, you can create a Narrative™ of good versus evil, virtue versus cruelty.
It's not remarkable that a lot of ordinary Americans are queasy about Trump's tactics, even when they support immigration enforcement. Who wants to be on the side of the Gestapo?
What is remarkable is how support for Trump's immigration policies remains relatively strong. It's both a signal that trust in the media continues to collapse, and anger over the flood of illegal immigrants makes people more immune than normal to the pulling on their heartstrings.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
