Jane Fonda is and always has been (has been--an appropriate term to apply to Fonda, come to think of it) an awful person.
She cavorted with the North Vietnamese during our war with them, cosplaying a revolutionary while they slaughtered American soldiers and countless innocent South Vietnamese.
She claimed to have grown up a bit, but the evidence for that was always slim, and as she has aged (gracefully, I will admit), she has returned to her horrifically anti-American ways.
I'm not Fonda Hanoi Jane. I never was, even when she played Barbarella.
She popped back up on my radar when she called for the murder of pro-lifers on The View. Her suggestion was so shocking that even the harridans of The View tried to cover for her, as did Lily Tomlin, but you can tell by the expression on her face that the promoter of peace, love, and understanding was absolutely serious.
Jane Fonda and The View supported the idea of murdering Christian Pro-Lifers this month. They giggled like the wretched hyenas they are. Now that they have blood on their hands, do you think we will hear apologies? pic.twitter.com/aWYMuqaUOW

For some ridiculous reason, Dana Bash had Fonda on her "news" show, as if the 87-year-old actress's opinions should be given weight and were newsworthy. In the process, she dropped her own mask and essentially admitted that CNN was an active participant in the #Resistance.
Jane Fonda: I’ve come up with a slogan for our Hollywood resistance group that uses the acronym 'CNN.'

Dana Bash: We’ll take it!
Jane Fonda: Good. I knew you would.
This is CNN. pic.twitter.com/2nUnZMMNYa
"We'll take it!" Bash unabashedly associated both herself and her network with a political activist group whose purpose is to "resist" the Trump administration.
Now, there is nothing wrong with Hollywood actors and actresses expressing their views, either in speaking out or even engaging in civil disobedience, as long as it remains nonviolent and they are willing to accept the consequences of their lawbreaking. The latter rarely happens, unfortunately, as officials in Blue cities where it takes place are unwilling to prosecute, civil (and not so civil) disobedience rarely has any consequences anymore.
Jane Fonda literally cavorted with the enemy. She is a traitor and anybody who supports her is as well. https://t.co/8vDUoBnR2L

Martin Luther King and his allies suffered the consequences, and he won his moral crusade because his fellow Americans sympathized with the injustice of his imprisonment. Americans today generally roll their eyes or even get annoyed or angry at more modern "civil disobedience" because it is purely performative. Nobody ever pays a price except the ordinary people whose lives get disrupted.
Bash has better things to do than engage in "noncompliance"--she is one of the many propagandists who take people like Fonda seriously and promote them as moral exemplars.
And she was--briefly--willing to admit that this is her role. She was proud to associate herself with Fonda's "activism," not only by platforming Fonda for no particular reason, but by embracing the CNN association with her "movement."
Is it any wonder that, as Ed wrote yesterday, trust in the media is at record lows?
A record-low 28% of Americans trust the media a great deal or fair amount to report the news fully, accurately and fairly. pic.twitter.com/bwOyygz9JS

As Bash showed, that distrust is well-earned.
Editor’s Note: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
