A new Narrative™ has dropped now that a lot of confusion has been created around the true motive of Tyler Robinson.
He did it for love.
WATCH: Montel Williams on CNN Thunderdome says the suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination was "a love-torn child" likely in the throes of "his first real relationship and someone was disparaging the person he loved" and thus not "motivated politically"....

I wrote this morning about the first appearance of this relatively novel explanation for cold-blooded murder, but didn't realize until now that it was part of a coordinated campaign to further muddy up the Narrative™ about Robinson's motive for murdering Charlie Kirk.
Different audiences have different erogenous zones when it comes to arousing narratives. For some, they needed to hear that this was somehow Trump's fault; for others, it was right-wing extremism. For others, the "we may never know the motive" that gave them permission to excuse left-wing violence.
And then, there is the old standby: it is a Romeo and Juliet story, and we should all be touched by the lengths to which star-crossed lovers will go to defend each other.
Barf.
They are trying to make this a trans love story tragedy

Would it really surprise anyone if there were an off broadway play written about this?
To you an me, devoted as we are to staying rooted in reality, all this hand-waiving seems a bit pathetic or is enraging. But for the liberal to left-wing audience who are looking for some way to make sense of one of their own doing such a horrible thing, one or another of these "explanations" will move them.
Williams tries to run cover for the Left & drum up sympathy for the suspected Kirk assassin: "There are people who are trying to pigeonhole this as a Leftist thing and a Right thing, and what we’re really talking about [is] a love-torn child, a kid..." https://t.co/aZ3etwTzSb

Already more people, when polled, think a Republican committed this murder. The mud is thick enough for them to ignore the picture the rest of us can see. For others, they are looking for an excuse for an otherwise hideous act, and blaming things on Republicans is an easy route to take to justify the murder.

Charlie Kirk deserved it! The rhetorical temperature of the right-wing inspired this!
Love, though, conquers all with the empathy-minded. There are lots of liberals who can't swallow the "It's justified" meme, but they are vulnerable to the love story. These are the people who weep over a "Maryland father" getting deported. That he is a human trafficking/wife-beating gang member is an afterthought.
He loves his family! justifies everything.
I'm delighted to report that @Disney will soon be releasing the biopic titled "How a Young Utah Sniper Found Trans Love at a Political Rally." The lead role will be played by Pedro Pascal. This is exciting!

Yes, they are throwing the excrement against the wall, but, dispiritingly, enough sticks to help them wriggle out of responsibility with enough people to create the necessary "both sides" narrative.

They have to dilute the impact of Charlie's murder, and none of these Narratives™ is enough alone, but together they are doing so with the Democratic Party base, which is their primary audience.
You did not even repeat the actual texts you inserted your own framing by saying he was trying to protect his love..

And you're still not addressing that . https://t.co/XV1soHFREf
We make a mistake if we don't see what is behind the propaganda efforts. That they are incoherent would, you would think, be enough to make them ineffective.
Not true. It is the shotgun approach: no one pellet will kill the target, but together they are sufficient to do the task. At least they hope so.
The media that spun up “Joe Biden’s love for his son” is now trying to feed us “it was Tyler Robinson’s love for his trans boyfriend.”

If the measure of success is completely wiping out the dramatic impact of Charlie's assassination, then they will not succeed. But if the measure is that they weaken the outrage with the people they are trying to reach--particularly those soccer moms who are repelled by Trump--they are having the desired impact.
