Others and I have been referring to the years-long campaign to convince Americans that Joe Biden actually WAS President of the United States as a cover-up. 

I think that is wrong, although a great way to limit the damage to anybody outside the Biden inner circle. As long as the media and the Establishment can limit the damage by cutting off a single limb--the Biden clan and their enablers--they hope everybody else who participated in the Biden hoax can escape with only modest damage. 

But what we have been subjected to is yet another hoax, similar in kind to all the other hoaxes that have been hurled at us over the past decade or so. It has been hoax after hoax after hoax. And we are witnessing yet another hoax being spun right before our eyes. 

A cover-up happens when damaging information is hidden so people can escape responsibility; a hoax is when people try to create an alternate reality based on a web of lies. The first Biden hoax was that he was "sharp as a tack," and the current one is that nobody but the inner circle knew and that the media--which had been fooled by the cover-up--is now being honest and is now on the case and will root out the truth without fear or favor. 

Everybody has been focusing on Jake Tapper in recent weeks because his new book with Alex Thompson has been promoted everywhere and will undoubtedly sell well. There is something particularly slimy about how Jake is making bank exposing a "cover-up" in which he played such a central role--everybody in Washington knew Joe Biden was a dead man walking, and all the Right™ people gaslit the American people that he was not only fine but really the President of the United States. 

Neither was true. Jake Tapper's and Alex Thompson's book discusses the "Politburo" (totally appropriate name) which really ran the country, and for all my Democrat friends who scoffed at the Hunter Biden revelations, revel in the fact that he was a co-president, along with Jill, Ron Klain, and a few other insiders.

It's hard to know which Cabinet members knew, but certainly all the top ones did--Defense, State, NSC, and anybody who claimed to spend time with Biden. Mayorkas obviously knew. Pretty much anybody who worked in the White House had to know, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff must have as well.

A small, tight-knit group in former President Joe Biden’s inner circle was running the White House like a “politburo,” and they were the “ultimate decision-makers” as Biden’s health and cognitive function continued to decline, according to the authors of a bombshell new book.

This group, dubbed the “politburo,” included a coterie of seasoned political veterans, including Mike Donilon, Steve Ricchetti and Bruce Reed — but also family members such as first lady Jill Biden and the president’s son Hunter, the authors of “Original Sin” claim.

An unidentified cabinet secretary vented about the Politburo, saying, “I’ve never seen a situation like this before, with so few people having so much power. They would make huge economic decisions without calling [Treasury] Secretary Yellen.”

They all created the hoax together--trying to fool America into believing that we had a president, not a Politburo. That isn't a cover-up. It is a hoax. A vast deception, and the conspiracy to create that hoax went deep into the Establishment, including the Pravda Media. 

Millions of Americans, even knowing that they were lied to about this issue or that one, still cling to the belief that the media and our "experts" are basically good people doing what is best for America. If they lied here or there, it was for our own good. 

These are the defenders of "democracy." 

That our system is fundamentally corrupt is confirmed by the fact that everybody in these vital institutions will go unpunished, because the hoax worked for years, and they are needed to perpetrate all the anti-Trump hoaxes to which America is being treated. 

The Establishment folks believe that they love America and that they are lying to us for our own good--at least many of them do--but the fact is that they define America as primarily themselves and their class. People who disagree with them are poltroons who need to be kept in line. 

As for the Politburo running America? That is the ideal form of government for people who believe in technocracy. That is how the European Union is set up--a fake parliament with EU Commissioners who have all the power and who jockey for power. And the American Politburo of 2021-2025 was in most respects the same as the pre-Gorbachev Politburos, with brain-dead figureheads and underlings fighting for the real power. 

I'm not sure whether Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson fully get the irony of using the term "Politburo"--they say they are just using the term that was used in the White House for the real powers over the past few years. But whether they do or not, it is the perfect name for these technocrats and power mongers who usurped our democracy.
