Of course, the various proposals for people driven out of manufacturing, mining, and the oil industry went beyond the famous phrase "learn to code." There were also "Green Jobs" and other schemes to transition workers who were being pushed out of their current one by government fiat.
Here is Jen Psaki in 2021 telling oil pipeline workers that got laid off by the Biden Admin that they could go get green jobs pic.twitter.com/GDY5k5U1qW

Green jobs, which pay nothing like the jobs that these workers had, were hardly a sufficient replacement nor a rapid shift from one job to another, but it made for a nice pitch: government regulations were helping people prepare for the future, not forcing them into bankruptcy, losing their homes, or taking lower pay.
After they get fired they can learn to code 😂

According to Joe Biden it’s easy. pic.twitter.com/jMfDcnqFhb
What did Biden or Obama care about these people? Their constituents were all for NetZero, had office jobs for the most part, and weren't of the right class to care about.
On ABC, Rahm Emanuel literally says a Biden White House should tell people laid off from retail stores like JC Penney to learn to code.

He actually said this. Amazing. pic.twitter.com/xlSnVi7445
The blue-collar workers should be like serfs in feudalism, helping satisfy the gentry both by maintaining their lifestyle and submitting to their whims.
DUPLICITY: Biden fired 2% of the Federal Workforce (70K) for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine; and 10,000 pipeline workers by the stroke of a pen on his first day in office. He told them "Learn to code". @TheDemocrats and @WashDems were completely silent.

Yet, somehow downsizing… pic.twitter.com/HHdDulpkTS
Biden loved putting people out of work while castigating them for not doing what he told them to do, even when his orders were illegal. Leftists, many of whom have never worked in a job other than ones reserved for the privileged, simply don't care much about ordinary people unless or until they think they can buy their votes through gaslighting.
Obama told American people 'learn to code'

Bill Maher asked to retrain coal miners for solar jobs.
They all failed.
That's why Trump won elections twice. https://t.co/qGE5cBL3VO pic.twitter.com/9zMNE3Ookd
Now, the Democrats and Pravda Media are claiming they never said any of these things. They weren't indifferent to the hardships they created, and besides, if you only tax billionaires enough or switch to eating bugs, everybody will live happily ever after.
The left used to pretend to care about working people, and indeed, many of them did. Their solutions to helping them out were misguided, but many socialists at least had empathy. It was toxic empathy, but they really did care.
No longer. It is all about The Narrative™. Republicans care about billionaires, while Democrats fight for the working-class.
It's all BS.
