Back in the bad old days it was the fascists and communists who forced sterilization on women for eugenic reasons. Now, leftie women and men are protesting Donald Trump, whom they claim is a fascist, because they refuse to bring children into a world where he exists.
No doubt Elon Musk's pronatalism plays a role, too. If Elon wants more kids, then they refuse to have them. Take that, Elon!
Michigan state Rep. Laurie Pohutsky sterilized herself, and she’s blaming her decision on President Donald Trump.
The 36-year-old Livonia Democrat told the throng of several hundred Trump haters that descended on the Michigan Capitol Wednesday that she voluntarily and permanently relinquished her fertility to make a statement about the 47th POTUS.
“Just under two weeks ago, I underwent surgery to ensure that I would never have to navigate a pregnancy in Donald Trump’s America,” Pohutsky said. “I refuse to let my body be treated as currency by an administration that only sees value in my ability to procreate.
That these people are insane is self-evident. That others take them seriously is bizarre.
After President Trump won reelection, lefties flocked to Planned Parenthood to get sterilized. That is not a joke.
This is, needless to say, completely deranged, as is Rep. Pohutzsky's claim that Donald Trump only sees her as a vessel for reproduction.
“If you know people who are questioning how serious this is, I’m going to repeat myself: A sitting government official opted for voluntary sterilization because she was uncertain she would be able to access contraception in the future,” she said, according to Michigan Advance.
The bisexual former House speaker pro tem insisted lawmakers must do more to counter Trump, urging followers to compel their elected representatives to go on the offensive.
Trust me when I say that, while I would be happy for her if she were lucky enough to have a child, it doesn't bother me a whit that she refuses to do so.
Anybody who is that deranged shouldn't be raising a child. Seriously.

The irony is that abortion is widely available in Michigan, and nothing the federal government is going to do will change that fact. As a state legislator, she knows that, so this is purely symbolic. The Michigan legislature is not going to pass an abortion ban, and Gretchen Whitmer wouldn't sign it.
This is about generating panic in others, obviously. The Democrats live on fear. The "trans genocide," "forced pregnancy," journalists claiming they will get arrested. The audience for all this are deranged people who are getting whipped up, and whipped up people can get violent.
That's what I think some Democrats want. We had two assassination attempts on Trump already, Reddit and Bluesky are filled with people talking about assassinating Elon Musk and the DOGE boys. Democrat lawmakers are calling for literal violence in the streets.
They want an explosion. Their gravy train is going away and they need to stop it.
So, no, I don't believe this woman wanted children or feared for her future kids; she wants to generate fear and hatred.
