I am at the point where any time I hear the terms "misinformation" or "disinformation," I almost automatically assume that whatever came before it or after is a hoax or a lie.
In true postmodern fashion, words usually have no meaning other than emotional content, and anybody who thinks that words have meaning beyond being random syllables should assume that the intended meaning is exactly the opposite of what you would think.
Musk & Trump did NOT lie. The reservoirs were not full.

But even if they did lie, how would that he dangerous? What am I missing here?
"Misinformation" and "disinformation" simply mean "facts I don't want you to believe," but "mis" and "dis" have negative connotations, and most people have not yet absorbed the fact that progressives are manipulating them by taking advantage of our natural tendency to assume that everybody uses words to communicate, not manipulate.
This Gavin Newsom impression is so good 🔥

Progressives believe that words aren't used to communicate facts and ideas but to assert power. That is the fundamental tenet of "critical studies." The people with power use words as nothing but weapons, and they aim to be better at it than you.
Newsom looks straight into the eyes of people and simply lies. No conscience. No hesitation. Perhaps some loosy-goosy dancing around because he is so pleased with himself. He speaks in order to dominate, not communicate.
"Newsom’s gestures are like a snake lulling its victim with rhythm until it strikes. Is he a politician—or auditioning for a boy band?" says @RaymondArroyo. #IngrahamAngle #SeenAndUnseen pic.twitter.com/0XSMPBDyKe

This is the same tactic used in the debate over protecting women's sports in the House of Representatives. Every Democrat got up and accused Republicans of enabling sexual predators by imposing "genital inspections." If true, it would be totally repulsive, and people recoil. Many get the impression that something like that is true.
Today, I voted against the @HouseGOP's Child Predator Empowerment Act.

Whatever problem Republicans are trying to solve, the genital inspection of little girls is the wrong answer. pic.twitter.com/E98AE93Yjp
So the Democrats called the Republican bill to protect girls in locker rooms and on the playing field "The Child Predator Empowerment Act." You can't make this up--if you are reality-based.
It is, of course, total bulls**t. What distinguishes lies from BS is that lies are meant to make you believe facts that aren't true but still acknowledge that you are a rational being. They try to mislead your reason by changing the facts.
Bulls**t is about grabbing your emotions, manipulating them through heated language, and treating you as if you were part of a mob incapable of thought.
Regarding Newsom's lie about the reservoirs, that was just the setup to the bulls**t. He doesn't want you just to believe something that is false; he wants to convince you that saying the truth is dangerous and the people doing so are evil. It is about fueling hatred and distrust, not just deflecting blame.
This is what critical theory, in general, is about: stirring powerful emotions and directing them at whoever is perceived as the enemy.
Watch for it and you will see it everywhere.
