Macron: Mon Dieu! Iran Is Getting Nukes Any Day Now

Gee, who could have guessed this would happen?

French President Emmanuel Macron is warning the world that Iran is about to get nuclear weapons. And, golly gee whiz, that might require sanctions to be reimposed.

Uh, dude, that is closing the barn door after the horses escaped. Years after the horses escaped, in fact.

The point of the sanctions that Obama and then Biden skirted in order to fund Iran's nuclear ambitions and worldwide terrorism was to PREVENT Iran from getting nuclear weapons, not make some useless statement about how naughty it was for them to build them.

Obama mollycoddled Iran, hoping that the terrorist state would become more powerful than Saudi Arabia and become all buddy-buddy with the United States. Trump reversed the policy, putting a "maximum pressure" campaign on Iran that drove them into near bankruptcy.

Among the first things Biden did was go back to the "we love Iranian Mullahs" mode, and the result has been chaos in the Middle East, the aggression of Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and war.

And, oh, the near nuclearization of Iran, about which Macron is tut-tutting

PARIS, Jan 6 (Reuters) - Iran's disputed uranium enrichment drive is nearing a point of no return and European partners to a moribund 2015 nuclear deal with Tehran should consider reimposing sanctions if there is no progress with Tehran, France's president said on Monday.

Addressing an annual conference with French ambassadors to outline foreign policy objectives in 2025, President Emmanuel Macron described Iran as the main "strategic and security challenge" for France and Europe.

"The acceleration of the nuclear programme leads us nearly to the point of no return," Macron said.

Iran says it is enriching uranium for peaceful purposes and has stepped up the programme since U.S. President-elect Donald Trump pulled Washington out of the 2015 deal during his first term of office and restored tough U.S. sanctions on Tehran.

European powers France, Germany and Britain said last month Iran’s actions had further hollowed out the deal and would heighten its stockpile of high-enriched uranium without a "credible civilian justification".

Uh, wat? The West has been pursuing a policy of enabling Iran to run amok, and suddenly, Macron calls it the main "strategic and security challenge" for Europe.

Who knew? Other than every sane person in the Western world.

If you asked an enemy of the West to design a policy intended to weaken us, increase the risk of nuclear war, disrupt world trade, and increase terrorism, it would have been hard to devise a strategy more effective than the one our leaders have been following. I suppose we could have delivered the plans for a miniaturized bomb and the tools to make them, but short of that, Biden et. al. have enabled Iran to speed toward making the bomb. If it weren't for Israeli sabotage, they would be there already.

The head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog said in December that the Islamic Republic was "dramatically" accelerating enrichment close to the roughly 90% level that is bomb-grade.

The three European powers were co-signatories to the 2015 deal in which Iran agreed to curb enrichment, seen by the West as a disguised effort to develop nuclear-weapons capability, in return for a lifting of international sanctions.

French, German and British diplomats are set to hold a follow-up meeting with Iranian counterparts on Jan. 13 after one last month held to discuss the possibility of serious negotiations in coming months to defuse tensions with Tehran with Trump due to return to the White House on Jan. 20.

"In the coming months we will have to ask ourselves whether to use ... the mechanism to restore sanctions," Macron said, referring to October 2025 when the 2015 accord formally expires.

Did these idiots really believe that Iran wasn't just stalling for time and hoping to get more funding for their terrorism and bomb-making? If so, they are too stupid to live. If not...why? I have no idea.

As usual, Trump was right and the elite were wrong. Nothing short of military strikes could stop Iran from getting the bomb--it is 1940s technology, after all, and miniaturized nukes are from the 1950s. This isn't black magic.

All this could have been prevented. But the transnational elite kept their heads in the sand.

Sound familiar? Immigration, crime, the explosion of debt?

They are all distractions from Net Zero and 15-minute cities.
