There are a lot of fronts, but it's all one war. At stake: will Western Civilization be saved, or will we go the way of the Roman Empire?

On its face, it seems odd that the Islamists and the woke left are fighting on the same side, but it is undeniable that they are not just trying to achieve the same goal of destroying our civilization, but that they are allied in the effort to do so. 

Just a reminder, the current FBI and DOJ monitored Catholic Masses, treated anyone praying the Rosary with suspicion, and considered labeling parents who spoke at School Board meetings as Domestic Terrorists.

Radical Islamists committed yesterday's terrorist attacks, and I would be shocked to hear that they had any help from leftists. The two groups don't culturally mesh, and I would think that ISIS-types would see Queers for Palestine-types as useful idiots and not genuine allies. 

But Queers for Palestine is a real thing, as are the protests on college campuses glorifying Hamas, and as is the valorization of Luigi Mangione on the left. Islamists and critical theorists on the left all agree that Western Culture is fundamentally evil and must be destroyed, and while ISIS has more terrorists willing to put it all on the line, both groups celebrate violence against Westerners. 

Their ideologies don't unite them, but their diagnosis of what is wrong with the world is much the same: Western liberalism is a destructive force and must be wiped off the face of the Earth. 

Most Americans understand the threat that ISIS poses, and since the October 7th massacre in Israel, many have awakened to the threat that radical wokeness presents, at least dimly understanding that our educational system from K-university has created an anti-American sentiment in many young people. 

Here are some of the current Harvard courses on "decolonization," promoting theories of "anticolonial struggle" and "how BIPOC communities forged [intersectional] solidarities to rebel against global white supremacy."

Seeing young college students protesting in support of terrorists is jarring, but I don't think that most people yet understand that woke isn't just the result of the excesses of youthful idealism but a coherent ideology that aims at real "decolonization," which amounts to destroying the West.

Those of us who are dedicated to ensuring the future of Western liberalism, free markets, free speech, constitutionalism, and human rights can't be shy about fighting back, using kinetic means overseas, and crushing the ideological foothold that critical theory has at home. We must root out leftism in our schools and quit apologizing for building the most successful culture in human history.

And we have to quit pretending that ordinary Americans are the real threat or that white Americans are poised to become KKK terrorists. 

Catholics, parents opposing alphabet ideology, or people worried about illegal immigration are not the threat; they are fighting on the front lines to defend our culture. 

Race and class shouldn't divide us; we have a common enemy--the people who want to destroy our common culture. 

We may shake our heads and wonder why the woke identify with Hamas, trans murderers who shoot up schools, and people who scream "Death to America," but we shouldn't. The woke and the terrorists may not share a vision of what a utopia would look like, but they agree on the first step to get there: destroy the West.
